《醫學英語基礎教程》是“醫學英語基礎課程系列教材”中的一本本科生醫學英語綜合課配套教材。《醫學英語基礎教程》在內容編排上立足于“需求分析”，以雙語教學為導向，全書共七個主題式教學單元，分別是Human Anatomy，Histology and Embryology，Biochemistry and Molecular Biology，Physiology，Medical Immunology，Medical Microbiology和Pathology，各單元均包含Intriguing Picture，Lead-In，Preparation，Reading，Video Watching and Speaking，Writing和Autonomous Learning七個部分，從經典的英文原版教科書中選取核心閱讀材料，并圍繞其選取聽說、寫作、翻譯材料，為學生提供了緊扣專業課雙語教學的真實語料，切合“教師為主導，學生為主體”的導學模式，有針對性地培養學生的醫學英語聽、說、讀、寫能力。
