《電子通信專業英語》共分兩部分:第一部分為電子、通信專業公共專業基礎課(電路分析、模擬電路、數字電路等);第二部分為通信專業課(通信原理、通信系統、衛星通信、光纖通信、數據通信等)。本教材各專業在安排教學時,可選擇15課左右的專業基礎課內容,15課左右專業課內容,剩余各課內容可安排作為學生課外閱讀材料。本教材估計教學時數為50~60學時。文中對較為難懂的單詞、短語作出了中文釋義,對課文中較難的句子給出了參考譯文,并在文章后面配有一定量的練習題,便于讀者對文章內容的理解和掌握。通過對本書的學習,可以使讀者掌握和擴大專業英語詞匯量及術語,了解科技文獻的表達特點,提高閱讀和理解原始專業英語文獻的能力,掌握英語翻譯技巧。有助于提高讀者的閱讀能力和開闊讀者的視野。本書適合作為高職院校和成人高校以及自學考試等的電子通信類教材。
