It is used alongside the textbook(EnglishChinese Bilingual Edition)published by China Machine Press at the same time. The layout of this workbook follows the same format as its counterpart textbook, adopting an EnglishChinese bilingual layout(the first of its kind),thus providing an opportunity for bilingual teaching in the field. The workbook begins with practical engineering applications. It also implements such as hand drawing exercises and relatedto practical application exercises, which are enhanced to help students master related knowledge and skills. These exercises will play an important role in fostering abilities of comprehensive analysis, design, and innovation.

Preface to the Third Edition
Since the first edition of the workbook was published in 2005, it has become a piece of unique academic work in the field with its innovative contents, wide practical use, and featuring bilingual education. It received great support and was widely accepted by readers, and won the First Prize of Excellent Textbook of Shenzhen University. In 2008, it was selected as one of National “11th FiveYear Plan” Textbooks for Regular Higher Education. As a supporting teaching material, the bilingual electronic teaching plan published together with the book has also been very popular among readers and awarded several national and provincial prizes of Excellent Multimedia CAI Software for Higher Education.
This workbook has been revised in its third edition according to the newly formulated or improved national standards, as well as feedbacks and suggestions from teachers and readers. The basic structure of this workbook remains unchanged except the removal of Chapter 11 on “Computer Graphics”. The contents of the workbook have been revised or extended following the new national standards. QR code resources, such as exercise instructions, detailed answers of exercises, standard solutions and animations of 3D models have been added along with difficult contents in this workbook, which can help teachers explain exercises and answer questions from students.
