The proceedings contain more than 30 contributions made by researchers home and abroad at the 12th International Conference on the History of Science in China(ICHSC).Discussed are the following topics:①Cross-cultural transmission and comparative studies in science and technology;②Studies in ancient Chinese literature concerning science,technology and medicine;③Traditional technology and non-material heritages in the world.A number of fields are covered,e.g.the history of science,technology,medicine,agriculture and traditional technology.The research perspectives include history,culture,philosophy,sociology,anthropology,archeology,and ecology.
廖育群主編的《多元文化視角下的中國科技史研究(第十二屆國際中國科學史會議文集)(英文版)(精)》圍繞“多元文化視角下的中國科技史研究”的主題,就“科技的跨文化傳播與比較研究”、“中國古代科學技術與醫學典籍研究”、“世界傳統工藝與非物質文化遺產”等相關議題進行探討。
黃進,男,中山大學地理科學與規劃學院享受廳級政治生活待遇的離休教授,曾用名李見賢。1927年8月出生于廣東省豐順縣北斗鎮下溪村。1952年畢業于中山大學地理系,同年留校任教至今。曾任中山大學地理系主任,中國地理學會地貌專業委員會副主任、旅游地貌組組長,廣東省地理學會理事及地貌專業委員會主任,廣東省土地學會副理事長,丹霞地貌旅游開發研究會理事長及終身名譽理事長,廣東省1∶50萬地貌圖主編,中國1∶100萬地貌圖編委、學術秘書及粵、桂、湘片片長。長期從事地貌學和河流動力學的教學及科學研究工作,對地貌制圖、地貌坡面發育、地貌分類、河床沙波運動及其推移率測驗和推移量計算、丹霞地貌和氣壓測高儀等方面進行了較系統的研究。改進了國際通用的沙波推移率計算公式。1956年設計出立體繪圖儀,被評為全國先進生產者。研制的丹霞牌氣壓測高儀測高誤差小于0.5米。截至2012年5月5日,對我國已發現的935處丹霞地貌的905處作了實地考察,對流水作用、崩塌作用、風化作用、喀斯特作用及低等植物作用所形成的丹霞地貌都作了較系統的研究,并創建了地殼上升速率、地貌年齡、巖壁后退速率和侵蝕速率四條定量測算地貌發育的公式,是全面系統研究中國丹霞地貌的一位學者。2006年5月榮獲“首屆中國十大當代徐霞客”稱號。已發表論文110篇,出版《丹霞山地貌考察記》、《丹霞山地貌》、《武夷山丹霞地貌》、《山丹霞地貌》等專著。

――祝賀中國科學技術史學會成立三十周年倡

女士們、先生們:
大家好!
今年是中國科學技術史學會的而立之年。30 年前的10 月6 日, 在中國科學技術協會
和中國科學院的大力支持下, 來自全國各地的科學史工作者247 名, 聚集北京, 成立了中
國科學技術史學會(Chinese Society for the History of Science and Technology, 以下簡稱
“學會”)。那天的開幕式是一個高規格的學術集會, 作為一只腳還在門檻外的1978 級科學
史專業研究生, 我有幸窺見了當時的盛況。錢三強、茅以升、李昌、于光遠、錢臨照等科
技界的重要人物親臨致辭; 夏鼐、白壽彝等文史巨擘到場祝賀, 時任中國史學會執行主席
的周谷城與國內眾多學術單位發來了賀電。這種熱鬧景象今日已難再現, 它是在那個特殊
年代里中國科學界、學術界對科學技術史這門學科在制度建設方面顯示高度關注的象征。
會議期間, 與會者采取自愿申請的方式, 每人填表一張, 交入會費一元, 經主席團審批通
過, 就構成了學會的第一批會員。
10 年前, 在慶祝中國科學技術史學會成立20 周年之際, 時任學會理事長之一的席澤
宗先生寫過一篇紀念文章[1] ; 5 年之后, 當時的學會秘書長韓健平等也發表了一文, 對有
關進展作了補充[2] 。今天, 我受學會領導和第12 屆中國科學史國際會議組織者的委托,
與在座的各位一道, 回顧學會30 年的光榮歷史, 分享它的成長歷程。因為有上述兩篇文
章可供參閱, 最近5 年來的學會工作將是我報告的重點。
1.學會簡介
中國科學技術史學會是由中國科技史工作者自愿組織起來, 依法登記的全國性、學術
性的非政府組織, 是中國科學技術協會下屬的一級團體會員。它也是國際科學技術史學會
的49 個國家(或地區) 會員之一, 是中國科學史家在國際科學史界的正式代表。
學會的最高決策機構是全國代表大會, 每三至四年召開一次。
