1）a supermarket“超級商場”，a self—service指一般的“自選商店”，
a hypermarket是a large supermarket；a shop是“商店”，a
store是a large shop’a department store是“百貨商店”。
2）help sb．with sth．是“幫助某人干某事”。例如：
Can I help you with your work?我能幫你干活嗎?
3）housework是“家務活”，homework則是學生的“回家作業”。
例如：
You can watch TV when you finish your homework．等你做完回家作業時才能看電視。
4）never是表示否定的副詞，“從來不”。例如：
He never gets up early in the morning。他早上從來不早起。
2．One day she says to him2．．．一天她對他說：……say to sb．…
是“對某人說……”，tell sb．…是“告訴某人……”。例如：
He often says to me that he doesn’t like to do housework．他常對我說他不喜歡做家務活。
I tell him that he has to do the housework．我告訴他，他必須做 家務活。

4．weekend指“周末”，weekday指周一至周五中任何一天，即“工作日”。例如：

not…any longer也可用于表示“再也不……”的意思。例如：

7．…if I don’t work there any more，we can’t save for our

save for或者save up for表示“積蓄錢干某事”。例如：

Gravity Is Everywhere
1．Gravity Is Everywhere意為到處都有引力。
everywhere是every和where組成的合成詞，表示“處處”、“無處不有”。例如：
]can’t find it though I’ve looked everywhere。盡管我到處都找遍了，但還是找不到它。
We must clean the house—everywhere looks SO dirty!我們必須打掃這幢房子——到處看上去都這么臟。
美國人則常用everyplace來表達相同的意思。
2．When you run downhill，gravity pulls you．當你朝山坡下跑時，
引力在吸引你。
1）downhill表示“下坡”、“由高處到低處”；也可以引申為“每況愈下”。例如：

2）pull表示“吸引”、“拉”；push表示“推開”、“推”。例如：
